The Lithuanian Mathematics Teacher Association, an official partner of the Organising Committee of the World Forum of the Best Teachers, has submitted a list of ten of the best mathematics teachers in Lithuania to participate in the forum, taking place 4–8 November 2019 across five cities: Singapore, Warsaw, Helsinki, Washington, and Berlin.
The association brings together school mathematics teachers, university lecturers, education professionals, and others whose work is connected to mathematics education. Its mission is to promote the development of mathematical knowledge and support the professional advancement of educators.
Participation in the Global Forum represents a significant step toward deeper international integration of the Lithuanian teaching community. In light of ongoing demographic and structural challenges in the education sector — including an ageing teacher workforce and language barriers — the Association is playing a vital role in renewing teaching practices, sharing effective methodologies, and contributing to the preparation of future-ready educators.
The Organising Committee expresses its sincere appreciation to the Lithuanian Mathematics Teacher Association for its active engagement and support of the global educational agenda. We are confident that the participation of Lithuania’s top educators will bring valuable insight to the worldwide dialogue on the future of schooling.
